Classic Diamond Nail art

Step 1:

Paint your nails black or any dark color.

 

Step 2:

Paint white diagonal lines across the nail.Draw about four lines per nail.

                                                                          Step 3:
                          Paint four white diagonal lines across the existing lines in  the opposite direction.

                   Step 4:
Fill in silver in the boxes formed by the white lines alternately.Paint  alternate   column       boxes in silver.
                  
                    Step 5:
Place four black dots around the silver filled diamond boxes.

 


                    Step 6:
Seal the nail art with top coat.The nail art is done.

Things Needed

 

Step 1: 

Apply the plum nail paint.Two thin coats on all the nails.

                                      Step 2:

Take trace the outline of a flower with three petals.This is placed at the corner of the nail.Use the white nail art paint for this or any light ,contrasting color.The picture below shows this.

                      Step 3:

Draw two diagonal lines across the upper half corner of the nail.This is done using the bright neon pink shade, as shown below.

Step 4:

Place white dots in between the two diagonal pink lines.This can be done using a tooth prick or a dotting tool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5:

Fill in the flower petals with a bright pink  color.

Step 6:

For the thumb ,use a yellow diagonal color above the pink lines and add plum dots .This adds contrast to the nails.You can choose any nail for this contrast.

Step 7:

Seal the nail art with top coat.The final look is shown below

With summer just around the corner one  trend we can't seem to get away from is neon! Neon nails are a fun way to add a splash of color to your life and really brighten up your world .Twinkle shows us how to carry the neon look with pink neon nails and a green neon bag in the above picture.
What are some of the pitfalls of wearing neon nail polish?

"If the nails are too long it can look a little scary, so the best thing to do is keep them shorter, and almond-shaped,"  "Other than that, have fun with the shades — that's what this trend is about. The great thing about nail polish is that it's not permanent; you could change your color daily if you really wanted to." If you have longer nails, give yourself a Louboutin-style manicure: use a warm nude polish on top and, instead of red underneath, use a neon pink.There are plenty of shades  and a huge variety to select from.

The perfect way to wear it.

The neon colors  are a statement in their own right, so keep it sophisticated and feminine by showcasing the color on perfectly manicured, simple, almond-shaped nails and keeping the rest of your makeup minimal..Use the neons sparingly, as a highlight or detail to keep it sophisticated.Neon nails look cool when you clash them with pastel colors and floral prints.Use a different color on every nail,for the look in the second picture below.Use a yellow background with blue and yellow dots for the first look.

Different ways to wear neon colors

1.Neon Dots

Apply a white base on the nails.Then dot it with neon colors in various combinations.A dark or black color background will give a striking effect.

2.Combination Nail art

Use a neon base background and create various designs with neon colors,be creative.Create the same design on all nails,or different one on each nail.Here a neon pink base is used as  a base.Neon green is used to create polka dots on first nail,random waves on the second,more intricate on the third nail and a zig-zag design on the last nail.

3.Watermarble

Use neon colors in combination with plain colors to do bright water marble nail art.Use neon colors with thin consistency to make it easier to float in water.Always use a white base color on the nail .

4.Gradient nails

Create a gradient effect using two to three different neon colors.You can also use three different shades of the same color to create a gradient effect,a lighter,medium and darker shade of the same color.Use a combination of normal and neon shades to get a less bright but chic look.To get the gradient effect use a sponge.

5.Leopard print

To create this look use a bright neon pink base or any bright neon base.Add silver dots,or any contrast color.Then outline the dots with black in random.Create a complete leopard nail or partial ,applying only on the tips.

6.Tribal Nail Art

Create a tribal look with neon colors.Use a combination of neon and normal colors,to avoid  a bright  loud look.Use a combination of neon colors at the base and create nail art designs using black color and a variety of patterns.Draw three to four horizontal lines  segment your nails into three to four parts.Fill in these segments with alternating patterns,like dots,slant lines,vertical lines etc.To get the perfect look leave thin strips plain and draw patterns only on alternate segments.
